Title: SCM and test - services and responsibilities

For an outsider (a tester) it seems plausible that there are important relations between test and CM, but it is not quite clear what they are. The goal of this CMCM is to discuss and make more clear any such relations - and will include (some of) the following questions:

• What can CM do to make a tester's life easier?
• Does test/test management have any responsibilities towards CM?
• Does CM in itself require testing to be efficient - e.g. testing of CM artefacts?
• Are the relations between test and CM different in an Agile organization than in a "waterfall" organization?
• What does CM need to know about testing in general - does CM need/want to know anything at all?
• What kind of collaboration should there be between test and CM - and what about the developers?
