Title: Large Scale Continuous Integration

Continuous integration can be easy to set up for a small team working on the same code and that is located in the same room. Working with continuous integration in a large software project with 100+ developers working on the same code base in different parts of the world presents an interesting challenge.

What processes and tools could be used to achieve continuous integration for large, distributed teams? Does it make sense to even try to do continuous integration for this kind of big projects or should a different approach for software integration be used?
