Title: Automating traceability
Hosts: Richard Simko, LTH/RefinedWiki
Traceability between source code and stories or issues is a tedious manual process today. It requires developers to enter the data manually and is prone to errors. There is a significant risk that developers will enter the wrong data or no data at all, corrupting the overall data set. I’m investigating the possibility to automate this process as much as possible, validating data provided by developers before it reaches the repository, and aiding the developers to provide data which is accurate. In addition the software should simplify the display of this traceability data, providing it in the context of the issues in an issue tracking system.
As a basis for the discussion I will make a quick demo of the software so far and bring up the features that I have in the pipeline.
My main question is, what types of features are interesting to have in a system like this?
