Title: Modern Configuration Status Accounting

The idea for this CMCM meeting was triggered by an ongoing Master’s thesis exploring Modern Configuration Status Accounting (M-CSA) and how mining the CMDB can be of value. One can argue that M-CSA in agile development differs from traditional CSA in that the need for "fresh" information is of greater importance.

To execute a task in areas such as impact analysis, planning, implementation, design, testing and change request there often exist questions that the involved parties must find answers for. We wish to identify these questions and explore how M-CSA can help us provide the answers.

Things we could discuss at the CMCM could be:

• What questions have you encountered and how did you answer them?
• Do you have any questions today that you don’t know how to solve or can’t find tool support for?
• Are you manually storing CI-data to solve a particular problem?
• Are you using repository mining to analyze commit history? Why/why not?
