Title: The Open Source paradox - Two repositories, one project
Host: Mikael Jarfors, Decerno
When working with large OpenSource projects, it is often the case that you will keep a local copy of the repository with your own private additions - such as infrastructure changes, devops and features.
We are the users of a large OpenSource Project, that we as well as many active community members contribute to. However, we of course use a fork (Our own copy of the Repository) that we try to keep up to date with the community but it also houses our own changes that will not be merged with the community for a number of reasons.
How can a team manage these 2 repositories in a good and controlled way as to minimize the time needed for merging and so on?.
Registration is mandatory by email to Lars Bendix (bendix@sneSCM.org).
