There are a lot of different strategies about how to work with branching in a software development project. Many times it is fairly easy to implement those branching strategies in smaller contexts but how do they work on a bigger scale? What strategies, or combinations of strategies, to use in a development project with hundreds of developers delivering software into a big project?

This is the topic for this CMCM.
