Title: Wringing value out of SBoMs
Host: Andreas Bergqvist and Karl-Philip Ble Cato, Lund University and ABB.
The Software Bill of Materials (SBoM) has recently become a hot topic in cybersecurity. However, there is limited research on its value in software development processes and how it can be tailored to meet the specific needs of a company.
To address this gap, our project involved interviewing 14 ABB employees across various roles to identify the data points they commonly use and understand their reasons for needing these data points. Based on these interviews, we have created a catalog of 34 use cases, which we have grouped into six distinct and manageable archetypes.
We would like to present and discuss these archetypes with you, CM practitioners, to validate and confirm the generalizability of these use cases.
Registration is mandatory by email to Lars Bendix (bendix@sneSCM.org).
When you register, please state if you want to attend in person or online - and include your name and a question/problematic/aspect that you would like the hosts to address during the CMCM.
