Configuration Management Coffee Meeting

Time: Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016, 17:00-19:00.

Place: the IT University in Rued Langgaards Vej 7, Auditorium 3, Copenhagen

Title: Academia (and SCM) Embracing Continuous "Anything"

Hosts: Lars Kruse, Lars Bendix

Now, imagine that you have managed to tune up your car's engine to 11.000+ horsepowers. Are you sure that the car/driver/roads can cope with that - and that your engine will last for more than 1/4 mile?

A Continuous "whatever" effort most probably requires automation - and most probably SCM will be heavily involved. If this is to succeed, what is it that SCM needs from the rest of the development organization (information/behaviour) - and what consequences will it have for different parts of the organization?

A collaborative research project involving researchers from the IT University, Copenhagen Business School, and Lund University has set out to investigate the impact of the new "continuous" trends. Where and what is SCM's little wheel in this bigger clockwork and how does it interface with the rest? Could a more holistic view (Continuous Software Engineering) be what we need to really make everything succeed?
