Presenters' bio:

Marc Girod: (Point/Counter-point: The UCM Emperor Is Naked!):
A French Engineer (École Supérieure d'Électricité, 1983), Marc spent nearly 25 years in Finland. He was a developer for 10 years (Pascal, OCCAM 2, C++), and a build engineer, ClearCase administrator, and SCM expert ever since.
He left Nokia, where he had initiated a global ClearCase 'service', and Finland, for Ireland, and IONA, then Ericsson.

Peter Walls (ClearCase vs. Subversion):
Peter Walls is a senior software consultant at Cybercom Sweden South AB, where he has specialized in the area of Software Configuration Management. Peter has mainly worked with Subversion, Jira and the IBM Rational toolset. He is also a certified instructor for IBM Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest.

Tommy Karlberg (A Day in The Life of a CM Person):
Tommy Karlberg started with Software Configuration Management in the late 90ies. He currently works at IKEA IT in Helsingborg as a Software Configuration Manager, working with SCM both hands on and with on a strategic level as well as with sourcing strategies for development initiatives with regards to SCM.
He also has more than ten years of experience from Hardware Configuration Management in the telecom insustry.

Otto Vinter (SCM and Process Improvement):
Otto Vinter is an independent consultant and mentor (www.ottovinter.dk) advising clients based on his long and comprehensive experience in the software engineering field. He also collaborates with the Danish software engineering consulting company DELTA on larger assignments and research projects, and implements CMMI compliant processes.
Previously, he was responsible for software process improvements at Brüel & Kjær. He has been the driving force in that company's improvement activities in testing, requirements engineering, development models, and configuration management.
He is appointed external examiner for the M.Sc. education in Computer Science for the Danish Universities. He is an expert evaluator on the IST framework programmes of the European Commission in the areas of: Software Systems and Services, Technology-enhanced Learning, and the Life Long Learning Programme. He has managed process improvement actions for more than 15 years after having managed software development projects for 25 years.
He received his Masters Degree in Computer Science from the Danish Technical University in 1968.

Christian Pendleton (SCM and Lean):
Christian Pendleton has been working with configuration management since 1994. He has always had a focus on processes and how CM integrates with the development process. Christian has worked primarily in large organisations with the complexity of numerous project members and distributed development.
Today, Christian is a senior consultant at Softhouse Consulting Oresund with a focus on CM in agile development processes.

Marcus Jacobsson (Implementing Traceability In Agile Software Development):
Marcus Jacobsson spent the last five to six years studying computer science at the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. At the end of his education he wrote his master thesis on traceability in agile software development. He is now working as the project manager at JENSIgame SE in the Czech Republic.

Lars Bendix (CM for model-centric development):
Lars Bendix is a visiting professor at Lund Institute of Technology, Sweden. His main research interest is software configuration management and how it can be used to support software development processes. He is also interested in agile processes and their pedagogical use in software engineering education. He received a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Aarhus University, Denmark in 1986 and a PhD Degree from Aalborg University, Denmark in 1996.
